Time off

Time off, requested and approved in a few taps.

Your team asks for time off on their phone. You approve it from your inbox. Balances and the team calendar update by themselves.

How it works

  1. Sara asks for three days off

She picks 12 to 14 Oct on her phone and taps Send request.

  2. Her manager approves

The request is waiting in his inbox. He taps Approve.

  3. Everything updates

Sara's balance changes, she gets a note, and the team calendar shows her days.

What you get

Requests take seconds

Pick the dates, choose the type, add a note if you like. Half days work too. Glide shows how many days will be left before you send.

Approve from your inbox

The request goes to the right manager, or to you if there is none. Approve or decline in one tap. Decline asks for a short reason, and it is optional.

Balances that add up

Everyone sees days taken, booked and remaining. Set the yearly allowance per person and choose a calendar year or your company year.

A calendar the whole team can read

Approved days show on the team calendar. Sick days show as "off" to colleagues. Only managers and the owner see the reason.

Your types of time off

Holiday, sick, unpaid and other are ready to use. Rename them or add your own.

Plans change

Cancel an approved request before it starts and the days go back to the balance. The owner can adjust a balance with a note, so the history stays clear.

Time off: questions

Can Glide replace my leave tracker spreadsheet?

Yes. Glide keeps each person’s allowance, every request and the team calendar in one place, and the numbers update when a request is approved. Nobody needs to edit a shared file.

Do employees need training?

No. Requesting time off is one short screen on their phone: dates, type, an optional note, and a button.

Can we use half days?

Yes. A request can start or end with a half day, and the balance counts it correctly.
